We have an extremely active and enthusiastic Eco-Crew at Yealand Church of England Primary School who advocate for change. They work hard to ensure that our small corner of our world continues to flourish for generations to come. They continue the good work of so many who have come before them.
The Eco-Crew (Our Spartan Green Army) are our recyclers, composters, planters, waterers and energy savers. The lead by example and model how a small action can lead to bigger change.
Each year the children develop a plan of action for the year ahead. This always includes planning a day of change for the whole school to enjoy.
This year they chose this day to celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday. A hero to many and a champion for all. The children planned and delivered the most wonderful day.
The Eco-Crew is led by Kathryn Brown but is supported by many of our school family, who visit to help out.
