Welcome to Robin Class
Mrs Berry and Mrs Brown have the pleasure of working with our amazing Robins through their Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 journey of school.
We are all very creative; we love reading, writing and maths and enjoy lots of activities which help us to grow and flourish into becoming the most amazing learners who are able to achieve amazing things.
We love being outdoors and enjoy a weekly Forest School Session in our own Forest, as well as develop our physical skills using our bikes, scooters and large play equipment.
Our Reception children join our Little Owl’s Room throughout the day to continue their learning both inside and outside. We follow the EYFS framework to ensure that our children have a holistic curriculum which supports their whole development in these important years. The children also have the best of both worlds as they join with our Year 1 and 2 children and their curriculum to learn about the world around them through RE, History, Science and Geography. All learning is tailor-made to meet the needs of each of our children.
Year 1 and 2 follow their own exciting curriculum based on the National Curriculum. We know that developing skills is essential to build independence, self-confidence and a love of learning. We consolidate both skills and knowledge through Key Stage 1 which support the strong foundations created within our EYFS setting.
We value the joy of childhood at Yealand Church of England Primary School and are happy to report that our children love coming to school and feel safe here.
