‘Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith.’
1 Timothy 4:12

A very warm welcome to Yealand CE Primary School’s website.
We are so proud to have been judged as a Good school in January 2017.

It is a great privilege to be the Headteacher of such a unique school community where creativity, high aspiration and a caring  Christian family ethos are at the heart of what we do.

Our school vision begins with the word Inspire – we want all our pupils to be inspired by the world in which we live. Through ‘the broad and rich curriculum…, enhanced with a wide range of visits that support pupils’ good spiritual, moral, social and cultural development’ (OFSTED, 2017) we want our pupils to aim high, achieving personal goals in all that they do.

The school is set in the beautiful village of Yealand Redmayne which has a vibrant, active community; with two local churches, a very popular village pub and village hall. The school is an important part in the village community and can regularly be seen exploring in the nearby woods and fields and up on nearby Summer House Hill or off on a trip in the school minibus.

We are fortunate in that there is a strong Governing body who are a tremendous support to the school,
‘Governance is a strength of the school, Governors are passionate in their roles’
                    (Ofsted, 2017)
and a very proactive Friends of the school who work hard organising social and fundraising events throughout the year.

Yealand School is a family and the home, school partnership is one of exceptional importance to us as we firmly believe that this is the key to ensuring successful learning for every child.

I hope this website Inspires you to come and visit us or come along to one of the many school events.

If you would like to visit please contact us on 01524 781360 or admin@yealand.lancs.sch.uk
