Welcome to our wonderful school.

My name is Kathryn Brown and I am the proud Headteacher of Yealand Church of England Primary School.

Our school sits within an area of outstanding beauty in the north of Lancashire surrounded by open fields. We are lucky enough to have a field, adventure playground, nature garden and we have our own off-site forest school site.

Our children learn that they are custodians of our school and its surrounding, they are part of a long history of children, who have been welcomed through our doors since 1841.

We are a small but mighty school, which inspires and nurtures our children to flourish and live out our Christian values far beyond our school gate. We work together to instil a sense of belonging and help all of our school family to inspire and believe in themselves and each other in order to achieve great things.

Yealand Church of England Primary School has strong links with our community and with our church St. John’s Church, Yealand. We see the church as an extension of our classrooms and we worship regularly there too. We are lucky to have a strong supportive Governing Body, who have a presence within school and work in partnership with all our amazing staff to make our school great.

We also have our own school minibus, which means we can go out and about to explore our local area easily. We love to provide our children with lots of experiences beyond the classroom and love to be outside.
