Yealand Church of England Primary School Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed with the children at its heart. It is tailored to their interests and enthuses and inspires in order to support them to believe that they can achieve amazing things.
We teach our children skills alongside providing a timetable filled with experiences and opportunities to develop independence in learning and a love of learning is developed.
With the National Curriculum at its core, we have entwined working within our community and our Christian Values through each theme so that the children can see the awe and wonder within our beautiful setting and learn to be custodians of this special place.
Our Curriculum is robust, it has full coverage for every year group and the children are assessed half termly using the Literacy Tree assessments toolkits for English, White Rose Maths assessments, Blackburn Questful RE assessment ladders and the Dimensions Toolkit for all other subjects. This ensures that we can track and monitor individual progress carefully.
